CMT Handmade Trousers with Premium Trims: A 25-Day Production Case
A CMT handmade trouser case using a Riri zip, cotton herringbone pocketing, shirt-cloth waistband, premium buttons and plated side adjusters.

CMT begins with a complete material responsibility list
This handmade trouser project was handled as a customer-material CMT order with a stated 25-day production period. The specification included a Riri zip, all-cotton herringbone pocketing, high-count shirting at the waistband, shell or horn buttons, plated metal side adjusters, a YKK trouser hook and Bemberg cupro lining.
The 25-day period describes this production case, not a universal promise. Timing should be reconfirmed after materials, quantities and technical details are complete.

Premium components need production control
Named trims matter only when the correct items are received, identified and installed in the approved positions. The factory record should distinguish customer-supplied cloth, factory-supplied components and any approved substitutes.
Photographs of the zip, waistband, adjuster and pockets create a useful pre-dispatch record, while the PI or technical sheet remains the formal source of truth.

How to approve a repeatable trouser standard
Before bulk work begins, confirm a representative sample with the final waistband, pocketing, buttons, hooks and adjusters. Measure the agreed control points and record visible workmanship standards such as welt width, button placement and seam appearance.
For repeat orders, keep component codes and accepted garment measurements together. This prevents a premium trim list from becoming disconnected from the fit and construction it was intended to support.
